Magic Murderer 16: Turn for the Better

Bai Yutang dropped the photo and asked Jiang Ping, "How long has it been since Ma Han left?"

"Yes... ten minutes..." Jiang Ping saw Bai Yutang's terrible expression and replied quickly.

"Kitty, pick a side. Shen Qian or Chen Jiayi?" Bai Yutang turned and asked Zhan Zhao.

After looking down for a few seconds, Zhan Zhao said, "Chen Jiayi!"

"I think so too!" Bai Yutang nodded and took out his phone.

Soon, the phone connected, and Ma Han's voice came through, "Boss!"

"Do you know where Chen Jiayi's house is?" Bai Yutang asked him directly.

"Yes. 13th floor, K Street D Apartment. She told me just now." Ma Han replied succinctly, "Boss, did you see the picture?"

"I saw it!" While replying, Bai Yutang ran out of the police station with Zhan Zhao. He said to the Mahan over the phone, "Kong Cheng killed Zhang Zhenzhen and Shen Ling. He has a gun!"

"I know." Ma Han stopped the car, "Boss, I am outside of Chen Jiayi's house."

"We will come soon!"

"Okay." Hanging up the phone, Mahan quickly got out of the car, pulled out his gun with one hand, and rushed into the elevator. After exiting the elevator on the 12th floor, he carefully, but quickly ran up to the 13th floor—the door of Chen Jiayi's house was unlatched.

Stepping lightly, he quickly flashed to the door, listening to the movement inside... Silence~~

He pushed the door open, lifted his gun and walked into the living room. The light in the living room was on and clothes lay messily on the floor. They were the evening dress and shoes Chen Jiayi had worn earlier that day~~ Ma Han quickly looked through each room—empty...

The milk in the cup on the coffee table was still steaming... Mahan pushed open the huge floor-to-ceiling glass door and walked to the balcony. He looked down and waited for a while. No one left the building~~ Therefore, they might still be inside.

He walked back into the room. Ma Han wanted to go out and look them, but he heard light footsteps coming from the door... and there seemed to be two people.

His gun quickly flashed to the unlatched door as it was gently pushed open. Ma Han flew out and raised his gun. The other party also raised their gun at the same time. Both sides were stunned when they stood face-to-face.

"Boss!" Mahan yelled and put away his gun.

Standing at the door were Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao who had just sped over by car.

"What about the people?" Zhan Zhao asked anxiously.

"Not here."

After a quick examination of the room, Zhan Zhao was about to speak when he heard the screams of a women from outside the balcony~~

Zhan Zhao pointed above, "On the roof!"

Bai Yutang winked at Ma Han. Ma Han would run to the balcony, and Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao would hurry to the top of the building.

On the roof, Chen Jiayi stood trembling in the cold wind and looked at the man with the gun in front of her in horror. She was only wearing a thin pajamas, and behind her was the edge of the roof—she was desperate.

"Kong Cheng!" Bai Yutang rushed upstairs and saw Kong Cheng dash over to Chen Jiayi. He grabbed her with one hand and pointed a gun at her temple with the other. "Don't come closer!"

"Calm down!" Zhan Zhao watched as the two approached the edge of the roof. Kong Cheng seemed to be a bit out of control, so he quickly stopped them, "Don't go back any further!"

Stopping, Kong Cheng’s eyes were bloodshot, staring fiercely at Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang, "You all go away! Don't come closer!"

"How could you want to hurt your favorite person?!" Zhan Zhao pointed to Chen Jiayi, "You did so much for her."

"Yeah~~ I did so much for her..." Kong Cheng said to himself, turning to look at Chen Jiayi, "But you said you didn't know me!"

"I don't know you!" Chen Jiayi stared at Kong Cheng in shock, "We met in the parking lot in the afternoon. I scolded you for being a moron and a coward, but you don't have to take it so seriously!!!"

Ma Han was downstairs on the balcony. He leaned half of his body out and looked up. He could see Chen Jiayi and Kong Cheng standing just above the balcony next door.

He stepped back a few steps, dashed forward and jumped. He leapt to the next balcony over, rolled his landing and stood up. Once more, he leaned out over the balcony and observed the situation above.

"Jiali~~ Jiali, it’s lucky that I saw you earlier. Are you deliberately pretending not to know me?" Kong Cheng said madly, "Relax, those who harm you, I will kill~~"

"What nonsense are you talking about?!" Chen Jiayi was both angry and anxious. "What Jiali?! I am Jiayi, Chen Jiayi! You have got the wrong person!!!"

"Xu Jiali!" Zhan Zhao shouted quickly, giving Chen Jiayi a hard look. He thought that this woman must really not be afraid of death~~

Chen Jiayi looked at Zhan Zhao and realized that he wanted her to pretend to be Xu Jiali, so she frowned and looked at Kong Cheng, "Okay, okay, I am Xu Jiali."

"Jiali, is it really you?" Kong Cheng giggled with delight. "You are so grown up! I have been wearing the pocket watch you gave me, see?"

Chen Jiayi looked at him in surprise as his expression went from cruel to excited and happy. She suddenly felt that this man was a little pitiful... His real "Jiali" would hurt to see him like that.

"Shall we go down?" Chen Jiayi said softly, "I have a lot to say to you."

"Okay! Yeah!" Kong Cheng nodded again and again, "Let's go down! Go down~~ It's cold here." He said as he walked forward and turned back around, reaching out to pull Chen Jiayi with him. Seeing him reach for her hand, Chen Jiayi suddenly thought about how those hands had killed someone... Instinctively, she stepped back and avoided him...

"Be careful!" Zhan Zhao shouted, but it was too late.

Bai Yutang swooped over, but he was not able to catch Chen Jiayi.

"Jiali~~" Kong Cheng shouted from beside him and also reached out, too late.

Chen Jiayi saw the people in front of her quickly getting further away, and the sound of the wind in her ears was clear. Her body felt the grip of gravity. It was like having an invisible hand dragging her down. Her mind... blank.

At that moment, the speed of her fall suddenly stopped, and then there was the crisp sound of a "crack" accompanied by the hissing sound of cloth tearing.

After a brief moment, she looked up. Ma Han was grasping the railing of the balcony tightly with one hand, most of his body hanging outside of it. With the other hand, he firmly grasped Chen Jiayi's pajama strap... The thin clothes had started to rip.

"Grab me!" Ma Han gritted his teeth. The crisp noise had been from his shoulder dislocating, and now his whole arm was in pain. "Quickly!"

"Oh!" Chen Jiayi reacted quickly, grabbed Ma Han's arm. Ma Han frowned with the pain, and sweat beaded on his forehead, "Hold on!"

"En!" Jiayi nodded vigorously and grasped tightly.

Ma Han grabbed the railing with a violent force, and he tumbled entirely backwards with Chen Jiayi, and fell into the balcony.

Upstairs, Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao saw that Chen Jiayi was safe, and then they remembered how to breathe and took a long breath of air.

Turning around, Bai Yutang grabbed Kong Cheng, who was still shocked. He took the gun and handed it to Zhan Zhao before pulling out handcuffs and handcuffing Kong Cheng.

Ma Han gasped for a long time before his breathing slowe. His shoulder was no longer painful, but he was chilly. He looked at Chen Jiayi, who was still lying atop his body, "Are you all right?"

Chen Jiayi slowly raised her head and started crying with a “waah”~~ She cried for a while, pulling the front of Ma Han's clothes to wipe her tears~~ And blow her nose.

Ma Han's pale face instantly turned white again.

Stopping her crying, Chen Jiayi looked down at herself... Just earlier, the pajamas had gotten ripped and her underwear was visible. She looked up and stared at Ma Han fiercely, "You’ve seen everything! Take responsibility."

Ma Han had come to rescue her and had paid no attention to that kind of thing. When she suddenly mentioned it, he glanced at her up and down.

"How is it?" Chen Jiayi was very proud, "Is the figure good?!"

Ma Han smiled and remained silent for a moment, "... It’s so-so."

"What are you talking about?" Chen Jiayi reached out and grabbed his collar and shook it. "How so? This lady is a known for her devilish figure. What else could you want! I just did an underwear advertisement two days ago..."

Shaking his head and sighing, Ma Han felt that his head was more painful than his shoulder—he secretly admonished himself. He must stay as far away from this woman as possible!!

Once again, Kong Cheng was sent to the police car and escorted to the station.

Bai Yutang and Zhan Zhao drove and sent Ma Han to the hospital. Chen Jiayi also went with him.

"You really have nothing to do with Xu Jiali?" Ma Han asked Chen Jiayi next to him.

"No!" Said Chen Jiayi, "I haven't ever heard of her! The man who broke in said the same just now. Is that Jiali just lik me?"

Ma Han looked at Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang in the front seat with puzzlement. Bai Yutang looked at the rearview mirror and asked Chen Jiayi, "You don't have a sister?"

"I am an only daughter!" Chen Jiayi pouted, "If you don’t believe me, go and check."

"Yutang, it has nothing to do with her. She is just a bit like Xu Jiali." Zhan Zhao said suddenly, "And she should be more than 23 years old."

Ma Han looked at Chen Jiayi in surprise, "Are you more than 23 years old?!"

Chen Jiayi blushed, "Why?! I'm 25. How is it? I’m young, right?"

Zhan Zhao smiled and looked at Bai Yutang, "It is true that women are like this. Their age doesn’t show."

Bai Yutang was a little befuddled, then immediately realized and opened his mouth, "Kitty, don't tell me..."

"Yes!" Zhan Zhao smiled meaningfully, "That is what I mean... Thanks to him, I understand."



After the riot in the entertainment city ended, Zhao Zhen went to the hospital for a simple bandage. Bai Chi was waiting outside the ward, a little awkward in his heart~~ obviously, he was the police. Pacing in depressed circles on the other side of the door, he told himself that as soon as the doctor said that the man was fine, he would leave immediately.

On the 132nd round around the door, it finally opened. A fierce nurse came out with bloody gauze and a medicine bottle in the tray in her hand.

The nurse looked up and down at Bai Chi, "Who are you? The patient's family?"

After two more laps at the door, he decided to go in and ask him a few things—as long as he was fine, he would leave~~ This is what a good policeman must do!

Clenching his fist, he pushed the door open and ducked his head in.

Zhao Zhen was leaning on the sofa, reading a newspaper, and eating oranges. He saw that the little guy who had turned in numerous circles at the door finally came in, and he put down the newspaper with a smile.

Bai Chi rushed in with his head down and took a deep breath, "Are you okay? It's because I didn't do my job well that you got hurt. I'll reflect on it, but it's you who was wrong. Who told you to pull me aside? Although you saved me and I was not injured, you were injured~~ this does not mean that I forgive you. I still hate you! These are two different things!"

Zhao Zhen looked at Bai Chi—blushing, speaking incoherently, and not daring to lift his head—and couldn't help laughing.

Bai Chi finished his breath and said, "So, that's it. I... will leave now!" After that, he turned to rush out of the door.

Zhao Zhen took a step quickly and grabbed him, "Wait~~"

Zhao Zhen smiled slightly, reached up and lifted Bai Chi's chin, then kissed him gently on his forehead, "Thank you for saving me~~"

Bai Chi froze and felt as though the tone of the kiss and words that were as light as wings~~ was so familiar.

He suddenly reacted. It was Zhao Zhen that had kissed him. Xiao Bai Chi's face immediately turned into a red apple, and steam began to flow from his head. He pushed Zhao Zhen away. His eyes were red, and he turned around to wipe them and ran out.

"This person is really annoying! How could he do that casually?!" Bai Chi walked out indignantly and quickly walked through the long corridor of the hospital, scolding him~~ Bastard!

He turned out of the corridor.

He entered the stairwell.

Suddenly~~ he was caught from behind.

Startled~~ Bai Chi didn't have time to scream. He felt a hand holding his neck, and a cold light flashed in front of his eyes. It was a sharp knife, facing his throat, straight down~~
